Tanya first became interested in studying massage therapy after obtaining her Honours Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Toronto. She graduated at the top of her class from ICT Kikkawa College in 2006 and has been in practice as a Registered Massage Therapist ever since.
In her career as a Registered Massage Therapist, she has successfully treated clients experiencing tension headaches, sciatica, low back pain, muscle strains, plantar fasciitis as well as various postural dysfunctions, such as scoliosis. Her approach to treating clients begins with creating a treatment plan that is unique to each person, focusing on the current symptoms, the cause, compensatory issues, prevention and education.
In addition to General Swedish Massage, her treatments incorporate Myofascial and Trigger point release therapy, deep tissue work, as well as passive stretching exercises. She is also a certified Thai Yoga Massage therapist; Hot Stone Massage Therapist and Infant Massage Therapist/Instructor.
