Myofascial Release

(MFR) helps eliminate pain and fascial (connective tissue) restrictions from the body, improves range of motion and enhances your body awareness for prevention of further pain and/or injury.

MFR is a hands-on, whole body approach to treatment which evaluates and treats the root cause of the symptoms. The Therapist applies a variety of pressures, from light to deep, in combination with stretch and movement to release tensions and restrictions in the body.

These restrictions, when left untreated, create pain and stiffness of the underlying tissue making it difficult for movement and creating structural changes in the body which may lead to further injury.

Causes of Myofacial restrictions

  • trauma, repetitive strain injuries

Reflexology

Reflexology is a technique wherein pressure is applied to the feet, hands or ears with specific thumb, finger and hand techniques without the use of oil or lotion.

It is based on a system of zones and reflex areas that affect different organs of the body and is often referred to as “a massage for the organs”. It is believed that it has a positive effect on the organs, thereby helping to balance the body’s energy, which in turn, helps the body heal itself.
